EDITS is a Vancouver-based design studio and furniture company producing refined, modernist pieces through advanced craftsmanship in Italy and Canada.

adaptable brand frameworks
Brief
EDITS champions New Century Modern—a contemporary redefinition of mid-century principles. Named for their iterative creative process, EDITS creates modern, high-quality designs for design-savvy millennials. Their design language blends modernist rigor with new-century minimalism, requiring a refined identity to express that vision. The branding project included a full rebranding and premiumization, plus web design, print design, and comprehensive art direction across brand and photography.
Process
Discovery > Research > Sketches & Prototypes > Feedback > Design > Internal and External Launch

During the visual development, we explored a broad range of directions before arriving at a minimal, elegant sans-serif wordmark—a refined variation of Helvetica Neue Medium that reflects the clarity and precision of furniture design. The heading typeface serves as an ode to mid-century branding, reinterpreted with a modern touch to align with EDITS’ New Century Modern philosophy.
Inspired by organic and geometric forms, the work unfolds through flowing lines, playful shapes, and instinctive color.

Outcomes
The outcome is a positive, colorful, and flexible brand system that feels contemporary, recognizable, and expressive. The identity translates seamlessly across the coffee shop environment, coffee packaging, cold brew products, and apparel, allowing for variation while maintaining strong visual coherence. Rooted in modern art and Montreal’s creative culture, the result positions Fleurs as a distinctive, culture-driven coffee brand with a confident and energetic presence across physical space, products, and lifestyle applications.
Outcomes
The process focused on creating a clear, recognizable brand that connects with the city’s creative energy, while avoiding traditional coffee clichés and allowing room for variation across products and spaces.
