Initial sketches explored how oversized typography, kanji characters, and abstract shapes could interact on the page. Early experiments focused on balancing bold letterforms with textured, organic patterns that referenced Tokyo’s natural and cultural duality.

It's final form, the magazine concept becomes a thoughtful keepsake and a clear expression of how place, memory, and design can work together. By pairing each poem with visuals inspired by Tokyo’s neighborhoods, it captures a balance of energy and calmness that reflects the city’s character. The result feels personal, reflective, and rooted in the atmosphere of the places that inspired it.
